Having recently released Gaijin Blues’ debut LP Gaijin Blues II, Shapes of Rhythm wanted to get other producers’ takes on the tracks and invited Scrimshire – one of the label's favourite producers – to submit a remix of the first single, Professor Tatsuro Kensu. Scrimshire came back with something that you can tell plenty of thought has gone into. An 11pm, club-ready groover that expands on but also retains the motifs and themes of the original. It is melodic, beaty, but just as epic and weaves its own progressive path over 7 minutes.
